✨ The Song of Hikotea
Hikotea (hee-koh-TAY-ah) is the Taíno word for turtle.
 
For generations, the turtle has symbolized wisdom, protection, longevity, and the ability to move through life with intention. Within my own spiritual path, turtle medicine has become a sacred companion through both my Reiki and shamanic lineages, inspiring what has now become an annual summer tradition known as Hikotea Season.
 
Each Hikotea Rattle is handcrafted during a dedicated New Moon creation window and created specifically for its future Keeper. Because these sacred tools are made to order, every rattle is woven with intention, prayer, and ceremony from beginning to end.
 
Created as a companion for meditation, Reiki, prayer, journeywork, and intuitive development, the Hikotea Rattle supports the awakening of inner vision and sacred listening. Its rhythm invites stillness, helping the mind soften so the wisdom of the soul may be heard.
 
Crafted from ethically sourced turtle shell, spruce wood, leather, fur, crystal, and beadwork, each rattle carries its own unique song. No two will ever be exactly alike.
