Divination with Petroglyphs

Day 5 – Listening to the Language of Stone

When the moonlight touched the stones of Borikén, the Behique — the Taíno seer, healer, and intermediary between worlds — would listen.

The Behique didn’t rely on written words or structured prophecy. Instead, they read the messages etched into the living skin of the Earth: the petroglyphs carved by their ancestors and shaped by water, wind, and time. Each symbol — spiral, face, sun, wave — was more than art. It was a language of vibration, a cosmic alphabet.

🌙 The Stones That Speak

Petroglyphs were not silent. They were portals. Through trance, breath, cohoba smoke, and moonlight, the Behique would commune with them — asking for guidance, healing, or vision. The carvings aligned with rivers, caves, and stars, marking sacred sites where spirit and matter met.

Each glyph carried layers of meaning:

  • Spirals symbolized the journey of soul and the cycles of life.

  • Faces and masks represented ancestors or deities manifesting through the stone.

  • Lines and waves echoed the patterns of wind, ocean, and serpent energy flowing through Borikén’s body.

🔥 The Full Moon Connection

On nights like tonight — when the Full Moon in Aries ignites courage and clarity — the stones shimmer with ancient memory. The moon illuminates what was hidden, just as the Behique once traced light over petroglyphs to receive messages.

If we listen, the same dialogue still exists.

Every crack in bark, every swirl in the sand, every flicker of candlelight carries potential for revelation. The Earth has always spoken; the Taíno simply never stopped hearing Her.

🌿 Modern Reflections

Today, many people read oracle cards, draw runes, or gaze into mirrors and flames for guidance. These practices, though global, echo the same root intention — to commune with the unseen through the visible world. The Taíno divined through relationship: with stone, storm, and star. Their magic wasn’t about control; it was about communion.

When we lay out cards or interpret signs today, we are remembering what the Behique knew — that the universe leaves messages everywhere for those willing to see.

Reflection & Invitation

Tonight, under the Full Moon, find a stone or object from nature. Hold it in your hands. Breathe.

Ask a question from your heart — then notice what you see, feel, or hear within the patterns of its surface.

💫 Ask yourself: Am I listening, or am I waiting to be spoken to?

The Behique’s wisdom lives on when we treat the world as an oracle — alive, responsive, and divine.
